About Us

My name is Mari Langinkoski and I live in the west coast of Finland. I study biology at the University of Turku to become a biology and geography teacher. My first dog was a Finnish Spitz which was a competent hunting dog and also a pleasant show dog. This dog placed even in groups which was a huge thing for 12-years-old girl. Since then I have owned Welsh Corgis (pembroke) and Skye Terriers. Our first Skye came to us from Finnsky kennel in 1997. Int, Fin & Est Ch Finnsky Zackpot was a real gentleman. A loyal, tender and balanced dog which made me a huge fan of Skye Terriers.

Our dogs live at our home with the family. They are show dogs but first of all beloved family members. They are alloved to move freely in the house and spend time where ever they want to be, including my bed. They get the best possible care, also in bad days. All of my dogs have pet insurances. I don´t sell old dogs forward. Our retired dogs can spend their whole life with us.

I have shown dogs over twenty years but as a breeder I am a newcomer. My kennel prefix Linum has been registered by FCI in 2005. Our first litter was born in the same year.

My ideal Skye Terrier is not the biggest or even the longest dog. It has balanced proportions, a level topline, free movements and a strong head. To me a healthy basic structure is more important than small details, for instance a colour or a pigmentation. If I name my favourite Skye, it would be Toptattoo´s Biancaofbernard. A beautiful, balanced bitch which had such a temperament we all should aim for.

I am a member of the Finnish Kennel Club and the Skye Terrier Club of Finland and I will follow their rules in my breeding. Our own breeding stock is health examined: they have been officially eye checked and knee examined before breeding. Our puppies are always registered, micro-chipped and checked by a vet. A new owner will get a registration certificate, a health certificate and written instructions at time of sale. I like dog shows myself but showing of our puppies is not necessary. However, I am more than happy to help you get started if you are interested in such a hobby.

If you are ready to provide a loving, permanent home to our puppy, please contact us. I am always happy to discuss about Skye Terriers and answer any questions you have in mind.
